Question 1

What is the best tasting rice in the Philippines?

Accepted Answer

Many customers ask us this — there is no single answer. It depends on how you cook it and what you grew up eating. In Northern Mindanao, households usually choose between well-milled regular rice (soft, fluffy, everyday) and jasmine-type rice (aromatic, for special meals). Our most-repurchased regular rice is PINYA (PURE PINYA V160); for aroma, BEE HAPPY JASMINE. The honest way to find the best: buy a small bag, cook it your way, and see. PINYA 25kg currently runs about ₱1,397 per sack (≈₱55.9/kg).

Question 2

How much is good rice in CDO right now?

Accepted Answer

Prices move weekly, so we publish them instead of quoting from memory. This week: local regular ≈₱38.7/kg (≈₱967 per 25kg sack), PINYA regular ≈₱55.9/kg (≈₱1,397 per sack), and the 5kg retail bag of PINYA runs ≈₱288. Most households here ask per sack — a 25kg sack feeds a family of 4-5 for about 3 weeks. Full table with all brands and pack sizes: rice.pinya.top/price (updated weekly from our warehouse system).

Question 3

How much cheaper is wholesale vs retail?

Accepted Answer

Same brand, same week, real numbers: PINYA 25kg works out to ≈₱55.9/kg while the 5kg retail bag runs ≈₱57.6/kg — about ₱1.5/kg saved by taking the big sack. For stores and canteens, wholesale pricing starts at our hotline: 09563387873.

Question 4

Where to buy rice in Cagayan de Oro?

Accepted Answer

Our affiliated stores cover CDO city, the Misamis Oriental coast (Balingasag, Laguindingan, El Salvador), Bukidnon (Talakag, Manolo Fortich), and toward Iligan. Each store page has the address and map link. If one store runs out of your brand, the next one usually has it — stores restock from our warehouse weekly.

Question 5

Which rice is tasty but affordable?

Accepted Answer

This is the question we hear most. Tasty and affordable is not a trade-off if you check three things: broken-grain percentage, moisture, and how fresh the stock is. Our SINANDOMENG (local regular, ₱38.7/kg this week) is the everyday favorite; PINYA 25kg at ₱55.9/kg costs a bit more for a firmer, fluffier grain. Buying the 25kg sack instead of the 5kg bag saves you about ₱1.5 per kilo — same rice, smarter packaging.

Question 6

How do I tell new rice from old rice?

Accepted Answer

Three quick checks: look (new rice is translucent, old rice chalky), smell (new rice smells clean; old smells flat or musty), cook (new rice blooms; old rice stays hard-edged). Freshness is why we rotate stock weekly — it is the one thing money cannot fix later.
