CDO Rice Price Watch — September 2026: What Changed & What It Means for Buyers
September brought a calmer rice market after August's sharp run-up — but the direction split by variety. Here is the monthly snapshot from our own warehouse books.
CDO wholesale prices, September 2026 (monthly averages, 25kg sacks):
PINYA (PURE PINYA V160) — ₱1,373 · +2.4% vs August
BEE HAPPY JASMINE — ₱1,368 · +2.4%
SUPER YOUNG — ₱1,341 · +3.6%
ENERGY ANT — ₱1,330 · +3.8%
YUM MASTER — ₱1,316 · +3.7%
DINOSAUR — ₱1,138 · −4.6%
BABY MANOK — ₱1,116 · −5.1%
SINANDOMENG — ₱1,115 · −4.1%
What the numbers say:
The headline brands kept rising — but slowly. Our flagship PINYA moved +2.4%: a far calmer month than August's roughly 10% jump. BEE HAPPY JASMINE, SUPER YOUNG, YUM MASTER and ENERGY ANT all landed in the +2.4% to +3.8% band.
Economy varieties moved the other way. SINANDOMENG, DINOSAUR and BABY MANOK — the budget picks that big families and eateries watch most closely — fell 4-5% from August.
The sack still beats the bag. PINYA worked out to ₱54.9/kg in a 25kg sack versus ₱56.4/kg in the 5kg retail bag — about ₱1.5/kg saved for identical rice.
What it means for buyers: in a calm market, order size matters more than timing. Wholesale buyers who commit to volume get today's number locked; retail buyers can check this month's reference prices at rice.pinya.top/price before walking into any of our affiliated stores.
